All our presentation folders, whether litho or screen-printed, can be laminated. Lamination* coats the printed folder (after printing) with an extremely thin layer of either glossy or matt plastic. The process can enhance the appearance and extend the life of your printing. |
Gloss laminate reflects the light, adding vibrancy to the print colours, and giving an eye-catching high-shine appearance to the finished product. |
Matt laminate is more subdued and discreet. It reflects much less light, which can make reading easier if there is a lot of text on the outside of the folder. |
Choosing whether to use matt or gloss laminate is mainly a question of matching the laminate to the image you wish to project. Please ask for samples if required. |

*(Do not confuse lamination with the kind of rigid plastic that might be used to enclose a membership card or menu, and in which the plastic extends beyond the edges of the print giving a clear plastic border. That process, whilst sometimes referred to as laminating, is more correctly called encapsulation). |
** For laminating purposes, a side means the whole side of the printed sheet before it’s made into a folder, so the front, back and inner flaps combined makes one side, and if the inside front and back cover also need laminating that makes two sides. |
